Sugar is crack.

After a month-long orgy of carb eating, I’m putting down the sugar pipe. There was so much deliciousness going on for the last few weeks. Every morning an egg (or two) over light on homemade bread. Yes I made bread two weekends in a row. And this last weekend I bought the oh so delicious cream cheese biscuits from Whole Foods. Have you had those? Oh. And I made a chocolate cake, a small one, really it was just a snack, with organic butter and raw milk with a pinch of cinnamon. Oh! it’s so good!!!

Some of it. Honestly some of it was not very good. I could live the rest of my life without ever having another piece of grocery store sheet cake. There’s just no ‘there’ there and it immediately gives me sugar taste, but with no aftertaste of real flavor.

And French fries. They’re really not all that. That’s one of the most shocking things I’ve ever said.

I don’t feel badly about it. I’d started getting the phantom headaches and the pimply skin, so I’m thankful I know how to avoid it. I’m feeling sluggish today, but I’m not craving sweets. I’m almost happy not to eat them. Of course that may change by this time tomorrow, but I’m looking forward to it.

The big question is: Will I lose any weight? No idea. I just know that this is much better for my body. And I’m going to go with it.
